Borja Cabeza Gil-Casares
Law bachelor by Universidad Complutense de Madrid, MBA by IESE and IE, and marketing professor at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Madrid.

He is co-founder of MBD Consultores, marketing and sales expert, with a previous distinguished career in multinational companies as Johnson&Johnson and Kraft General Foods, he has a wide experience managing Customer Intelligence projects in advanced customer management companies of various sectors.

Fernando Martínez Jover
Business bachelor by Universidad de Zaragoza, MBA by IE and partner of MBD Consultores since2001. He joined MBD in 1996, where he has devoloped the whole of his professional career.

With a background of more than 10 years successfully managing BI consultancy teams and high value projects for first level companies in sector as telecommunications, insurances, publishing and utilities. Trough his leadership, he has been key in the growth and development of MBD.

Work Areas

Our team comprises individuals with diverse profiles,skills and educational backgrounds which allows us to maintain a rich and broad business focus. It is a fundamental factor in our capacity to form highly qualified multidisciplinary teams for our projects.


Consultants work directly with clients and so form the face of MBD. They play an active part in developing our projects, including defining the goals to be achieved, the strategies, the main lines of analysis and the activities to be deployed to achieve the required results of the project. They have excellent analytical skills, an ability to identify and define the goals required of every project, excellent communication skills, high professional standards, commercial awareness and an in-depth knowledge of our client's businesses. Consultants are in charge of developing the MBD service portfolio based on the needs they identify. They also support sales and other business development activities.

People in our IT department are experts in programming, database management and data handling. They program the software that is necessary for our projects and give support to our clients and business consultants. They welcome the opportunity to learn about new technological tools, programming techniques and data handling which they use to propose solutions or improvements to projects. Like all of us at MBD they always act in our client's best interest.


This department's role is to investigate and develop new methods and services to offer existing and prospective clients. They actively support the execution of projects, assisting consultancy teams in data mining methods and verifying the results obtained. They are also responsible for training the consultancy team in the use of the data mining tools (SAS). They have great capacity to combine technical knowledge with a business outlook. They are proactive in investigating and developing solutions and methods, combining creativity with great job results and are skilled in internal and external communication and teaching.

Business Development

Business Development is the area responsible for locating prospects in specific strategic sectors that will eventually become new projects or clients for MBD. Its members are responsible for developing and implementing the marketing and communications strategy and the sales plan, and for recommending (in conjunction with other areas of the company) the development of new services to include in MBD's portfolio in response to demands identified in the market. They are creative and proactive, and at the same time flexible and sympathetic to the needs of the client. They also have the ability to work with the rest of the members of our organization.
